How Should I Store My Coffee?

It's me Sandy again, ready to take you behind the scenes of Parisi Coffee and teach you how to make sure your coffee is always tasting fresh.
There are so many variables that affect the flavors in your final cup, but how it is stored and brewed are variables you can control. Today, we’ll discuss proper coffee storage and touch briefly on why your grind is important when brewing a great cup of coffee.
Pouring Parisi Coffee
First thing’s first, the enemies of coffee are water, heat, air, and light. Coffee is super porous and should be stored in an air-tight container away from heat and moisture. The best practice is to store it sealed in its original bag on the counter next to your trusty brewing device, or keep your coffee stored in the cabinet.

I definitely don’t recommend storing your coffee in the fridge or freezer.
Moisture and condensation wreak havoc on fresh coffee, especially when the coffee is being used daily. Nor do I recommend storing ground coffee for long periods of time, if at all. If you're not already grinding coffee at home, I highly recommend purchasing a quality burr grinder. I guarantee you this will change your coffee game!
There is so much to talk about, next in the series I will dive into how to perfect your brewing process and truly enjoy Arte Della Tazza {art from the cup}™!
Grazie!
