KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After tremendous success of its flagship location, Parisi Café will open a second shop in Leawood, Kansas late this year. The new café will feature hand-brewed coffee by the cup, barista-prepared espresso drinks and iced coffees, artisan teas, Italian sodas and more – featuring Parisi’s locally-roasted coffee, sourced from around the world.
The new 2,000-square-foot cafe will be located at 5245 W. 116th Place at Park Place near the development’s south parking garage and breezeway. The new café will offer an array of pastries and baked items, plus grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, and the addition of many new food items.
“We knew we wanted to open a second location in the future because our Union Station Café has received such an amazing reception in Kansas City. So, when we were approached by Park Place we decided it would be a smart move to go ahead with plans for another café sooner rather than later,” said Scott Presnell, director of marketing for Parisi Coffee. “With the larger size of our space at Park Place, we are able to focus on a wider variety of culinary selections that we’ve wanted to do, including an expanded dessert menu, as well as cocktail and wine options.”
The new Parisi Café Leawood will feature a limited offering of hand-crafted, cordial-style mixed drinks and a selection of wines that pair with coffee and the dessert menu. The café will be open to service customers later in the evenings. Store hours are expected to be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
Similar in interior design to the Union Station location, the new Parisi Café Leawood will also include outdoor sidewalk seating and covered seating in Park Places’ south breezeway. Garage parking as well as limited street parking will be available for Parisi Café customers.
“The Park Place location is near offices, retail, full-service restaurants, neighborhoods and apartments, a large movie theater and more. With a small lounge, evening hours, coffee-inspired cocktails and our local artisan coffee experience, we believe it’s going to be a great expansion to our retail efforts,” Presnell said.
